![]() SAN DIEGO, CA - With the 2011 season completed, the Padres began planning for the 2012 season by trading second baseman Orlando Hudson to the Baltimore Orioles for a 4th round rookie draft pick and relief pitcher Trevor Bell. Originally acquired for shortstop Adam Everett, Hudson had been a Padre since the 2004 season, having played more games at second base than any other Padre since 1995. He was an All-Star in 2004 and won 4 consecutive Gold Gloves from 2006-2009. “We wanted to get something for O-Dog while we still could. He’s not getting any younger,” manager Tim Stoops commented.
